Not internships, not assignments — things I started because I saw a gap and decided to fill it myself.
I built this one entirely myself — no team, no template. It's a media brand about college life and faith, running on student resource guides I wrote and designed from scratch. I own the strategy, filming, editing, and every collaboration, and I've turned it into something people actually trust: 5.4M profile views in a single month, multiple videos past 1M, 30+ businesses promoted, and 131 guide purchases, plus a free 16-page UC Davis Starter Guide — plus a print feature in The California Aggie, “Davis with Maya: a digital diary.”
A restaurant marketing and brand storytelling studio I co-founded with Lucas Yoo. We give small, owner-operated restaurants in Davis and Sacramento the website, Instagram, and Google presence they’ve never had time to build — in one shoot day and one launch. I own strategy, creative, outreach, and every client conversation.
A 30,000-person campus with its news scattered across group chats. I built the page that consolidated it — brand, content, growth and partnerships — then sold local businesses a channel to reach it.
